Themistocles Resvanis

Dr. Resvanis is a research engineer in the Mechanical Engineering Department working with Prof Vandiver’s research group. He is an expert in structural dynamics and mechanical vibration with more than 12 years experience studying and modelling VIV on cables and offshore risers. Over the years he has worked with all the oil majors on research and consulting projects. He enjoys designing and conducting experiments and has extensive experience in structural dynamics testing and fluid-structure interaction problems at all scales. From model scale tests all the way up to full prototype scale experiments, both in the lab and in the field. He enjoys all aspects of experimental work including experiment design, custom instrumentation, conducting experiments and analyzing results.
